Abstract

This systematic literature review synthesises empirical research on Psychological Capital (Psy Cap), a multifaceted construct encompassing hope, optimism, resilience, and self-efficacy. A comprehensive analysis of 45 studies reveals the significant positive impact of Psy Cap on employee well-being, job performance, and organisational outcomes. This systematic literature review examined only the Psychological Capital (Psy Cap) as a feature of interest while performing research across the most popular databases. The findings highlight the importance of Psy Cap in fostering a positive work environment, promoting adaptability and resilience, and enhancing overall organisational effectiveness. This review provides a nuanced understanding of Psy Cap's theoretical foundations, measurement, and applications, offering valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, and organisational leaders seeking to leverage Psy Cap for improved workplace outcomes.
