The purpose of the study is to find out the effectiveness of field tours. A detailed account of teachers' and students’ experiences can illuminate how they think about and participate in fieldwork. The objectives of this present study are to explore the experiences of students and teachers regarding field trips, to find out the interesting things about field trips to bring motivation among science students, to explore the benefits of field trips for science students, and to find out the challenges faced while conducting field trips. This context determines whether the field trip study method is to be induced in schools, colleges, and universities. We reviewed literature from different websites, books, and articles. The current study is qualitative and uses a hermeneutic phenomenology research design. The researcher assessed the participants and their interpretations of these experiences using semi-structured interviews. A convenient sampling technique was used to collect data from 10 teachers and five focus groups from the university. The findings explored that most teachers and students were aware of lab work. It has been concluded that teachers need to be aware of the benefits of field trips. The findings have been discussed from various perspectives, and some suggestions based on findings have been put forward.
