Abstract

The world faces climate change as an urgent problem which creates severe effects on how infectious diseases appear and spread throughout the world. The rising temperatures together with changing precipitation patterns and more extreme weather events create new ecological conditions which alter how pathogens and vectors interact with human populations. The study examines climate change effects on infectious disease patterns through its assessment of climate drivers and vector borne diseases and waterborne and foodborne infections and recently discovered and previously discovered diseases. Rising temperatures accelerate pathogen development according to scientific evidence which shows that this phenomenon also expands vector habitats while changes in rainfall and humidity create ideal conditions for disease transmission. Extreme weather events create hazardous situations which lead to water system contamination and public health system failures that result in outbreak situations. The review evaluates how environmental transformations and urban development and land use changes lead to increased dangers of zoonotic diseases spreading between animals and humans and worldwide disease outbreaks. The implementation of surveillance systems and public health interventions and technological advancements through predictive modeling and geographic information systems requires institutions to develop climate-sensitive disease management solutions. The integration of climate data with disease monitoring systems and the development of effective policy solutions from research results continue to present significant challenges despite progress in the field. The solution to the intricate connection between climate change and infectious diseases demands a multidisciplinary approach that must be implemented proactively to protect future global health security.
