Online buying and selling across borders has rapidly expanded in recent years, presenting a good opportunity for firms in emerging economies, such as Pakistan. Although logistics management still poses one of the most significant concerns in providing an effective supply chain for transporting goods across borders. This paper aims to identify major opportunities available to logistics managers and regulatory concerns in cross-border e-commerce in Pakistan. Through a thematic analysis of interviews conducted with 12 logistics managers, three main themes emerged: technology adoption, internationalization and risk regulation. There were subthemes, including supply chain transparency with blockchain, optimizing routes through AI, and—markedly—customs issues. In this study, MAXQDA 2022 software was used for analysis, as it provided a structured approach to the overall process. The conclusion is that, despite the high potential of utilising technology to enhance operational effectiveness in the field of logistics, regulatory issues remain problematic. The author concludes the study by providing policy implications for the government to simplify the regulation of cross-border e-commerce and executive implications for logistics managers to leverage technology in seizing the opportunities presented by the rapidly growing cross-border e-commerce market.
