Cardiovascular disease continues to be a major worldwide health issue. Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) bark, well known for its cardioprotective qualities, is a promising remedy in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. to find out how effectively a polyherbal tea blend that includes green tea, cardamom, cinnamon, and Arjuna bark can support cardiovascular health. One hundred people with moderate hypertension participated in a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. For 12 weeks, participants received the Arjuna tea blend or a placebo twice a day. The Arjuna tea group showed a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure (-8.5 mmHg) when compared to the placebo group. They also showed improvements in lipid profiles (increased HDL, decreased LDL, and triglycerides), improved endothelial function (increased nitric oxide production), and decreased inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein and IL-6). The synergistic effects of the herbs in the Arjuna tea blend likely drive its strong cardiovascular benefits. Arjuna's cardioprotective effects are complemented by the insulin-sensitizing qualities of cinnamon, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of cardamom, and the catechin-rich profile of green tea. For preserving cardiovascular health, this polyherbal tea provides a convenient, safe, and efficient supplemental treatment.
