Digital Archiving Policy
The Journal of Excellence in Business Administration (JEBA), published by SMARCONS Publisher, is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and continued availability of its published scholarly content. The journal maintains digital preservation and archiving arrangements to safeguard its content beyond the journal's primary publishing platform and to ensure continued scholarly access in the event of website failure, technical disruption, platform migration, or discontinuation of the journal or publisher.
JEBA's published content is archived through recognized long-term digital preservation services. These arrangements are intended to ensure that the scholarly record remains preserved, discoverable, and accessible over time.
JEBA currently uses the following digital archiving and preservation services:
Internet Archive
JEBA archives its published content through the Internet Archive as part of its long-term digital preservation arrangements. Published journal content is preserved independently of the journal's primary website to support continued public access and long-term availability.
The use of the Internet Archive helps safeguard JEBA's scholarly content against loss resulting from website failure, technical disruption, platform changes, or discontinuation of the journal's primary online platform. Archived content provides an additional preservation copy and supports continued access to the journal's published scholarly record.

PKP Preservation Network
JEBA uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) and participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) as part of its long-term digital preservation arrangements. PKP PN provides preservation services specifically for eligible OJS journals and uses LOCKSS-based preservation technology to maintain multiple copies of journal content for long-term safeguarding.
Through this preservation arrangement, JEBA's published content is preserved independently of the journal's primary website, helping to ensure continued availability of the scholarly record in the event of technical failure, platform disruption, website unavailability, or discontinuation of the journal or publisher.
JEBA is committed to maintaining its participation in PKP PN and to ensuring that published content is deposited on an ongoing basis in accordance with the technical and operational requirements of the preservation service.
File Formats and Metadata Preservation
JEBA preserves published articles and associated scholarly content in widely supported digital formats, including PDF, together with the relevant bibliographic and article metadata required for identification, retrieval, citation, indexing, interoperability, and long-term discoverability.
Article metadata is maintained through the journal's publishing platform and associated scholarly infrastructure and includes, where applicable, information such as article title, author names, affiliations, abstract, keywords, publication details, DOI, licensing information, and other relevant bibliographic metadata.
Published content and associated metadata are deposited through JEBA's designated archiving and preservation arrangements on an ongoing basis. The journal takes reasonable measures to maintain the accuracy, accessibility, and integrity of its published content and metadata and to update relevant records when corrections, metadata changes, or platform migrations occur.
JEBA periodically reviews its digital preservation arrangements to ensure that they remain appropriate for the long-term accessibility and preservation of the journal's scholarly record.
Policy Availability and Review
This Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy is publicly available on the journal website for authors, readers, reviewers, indexing agencies, and other stakeholders. The policy is reviewed periodically and updated when necessary to reflect developments in digital preservation standards, publishing technologies, and indexing requirements.

Digital Object Identifier Policy
The Journal of Excellence in Business Administration (JEBA) assigns a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to each published article to provide persistent identification, stable linking, reliable citation, discoverability, and long-term access to the scholarly record.
Each published article is assigned a unique DOI upon publication. The DOI is registered through Crossref and is included in the article metadata, individual article landing page, and published article PDF. Authors, readers, indexing services, and other users are encouraged to use the DOI as the preferred persistent link when citing, sharing, or referencing JEBA articles.
Each DOI resolves to a unique article landing page maintained by JEBA. The landing page provides the article's bibliographic information, DOI, licensing information, and access to the full text of the published article.
JEBA deposits DOI-associated bibliographic metadata with Crossref and is committed to maintaining these records over time. When an article URL, bibliographic information, publication status, or other relevant metadata changes, the journal updates the corresponding Crossref record as appropriate to ensure that the DOI continues to resolve correctly and that its associated metadata remains accurate and current.

Once registered, a DOI remains permanently associated with the published scholarly item. Corrections, updates, retractions, or changes to the location of an article do not result in replacement of the original DOI; instead, the relevant metadata and resolution information are updated where necessary.

Author Self-Archiving Policy
The Journal of Excellence in Business Administration (JEBA) supports author self-archiving and repository deposit in accordance with the principles of open access scholarly publishing. Authors may deposit, share, and make publicly available all permitted versions of their work without embargo, without payment of a self-archiving fee, and without requesting prior permission from JEBA or the publisher.
Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their manuscript:
- Submitted Version (Preprint): the version originally submitted to the journal before peer review.
- Accepted Version (Author Accepted Manuscript/AAM): the author-created version incorporating revisions following peer review and accepted for publication, prior to the journal's final typesetting and production.
- Published Version (Version of Record/VoR): the final version formally published by JEBA.
Authors may deposit any of these versions immediately upon their availability in an institutional repository, subject-specific repository, funder-designated repository, personal or institutional website, or another lawful repository or public platform of their choice. No embargo period applies to any of these versions.
All articles published in JEBA are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, users may share, copy, redistribute, adapt, transform, and build upon the published work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the original publication in JEBA is acknowledged, a link to the CC BY 4.0 license is provided, and any changes made to the work are indicated.
Authors retain copyright in their published work and may reuse all or part of their article in theses, dissertations, books, conference materials, teaching materials, compilations, and other scholarly or professional works, subject to appropriate acknowledgement of the original publication, applicable publication-ethics requirements, and the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.
When depositing the published Version of Record, authors are encouraged to include the complete citation of the article and its DOI or permanent link to the version published by JEBA.
Recommended locations for self-archiving include:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-specific repositories, including appropriate services such as RePEc, SSRN, or EconStor
- Funder-designated repositories
- Personal or institutional webpages
- Other lawful repositories or public scholarly platforms selected by the author
- Academic networking platforms, such as ResearchGate, for dissemination purposes, while recognizing that such platforms are not substitutes for formal long-term digital preservation services
JEBA does not impose any additional restrictions on author self-archiving that conflict with the journal's Open Access Policy, Copyright & Licensing Policy, or the permissions granted under the CC BY 4.0 license.
This Self-Archiving Policy is publicly available on the JEBA website to provide clear information regarding the versions authors may deposit, the locations in which they may deposit them, and the absence of any embargo period.
Self-archiving supports compliance with institutional and funder open-access requirements and enhances the accessibility, discoverability, dissemination, and potential scholarly impact of published research.
