Copyright Ownership

All articles published in the Journal of Excellence in Business Administration (JEBA) are the intellectual property of their respective author(s). Authors retain copyright of their published work without restriction.

SMARCONS Publisher and JEBA do not claim ownership of the content published in the journal. Upon acceptance and publication, authors grant JEBA and SMARCONS Publisher a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, archive, index, distribute, and disseminate the article in print and electronic formats.

Each published article clearly displays the following copyright statement:

© [Year] The Author(s).

This statement confirms that copyright remains with the author(s), while the journal holds only the non-exclusive right to publish and disseminate the work.

Licensing Terms

All articles published in JEBA are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, users are permitted to copy, share, distribute, display, reproduce, adapt, modify, and build upon the published work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the source of publication is acknowledged, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made to the work are indicated.

JEBA imposes no restrictions that are contrary to the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.

For transparency, the CC BY 4.0 license statement and license badge are displayed on the journal website and on the PDF version of each published article.

Author Rights

Authors retain full copyright, moral rights, and intellectual rights over their published work. Authors are free to:

Share their published article through institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, and other public platforms.

Reuse their article in future publications, books, theses, dissertations, conference presentations, teaching materials, or compilations.

Distribute printed or electronic copies of their article.

Use the published version of record without requesting additional permission from the journal or publisher.

JEBA allows immediate self-archiving of the submitted, accepted, and published versions of the article. No embargo period is applied, and no fee is charged for exercising these rights.

Journal and Publisher Rights

By submitting and publishing an article in JEBA, authors grant the journal and SMARCONS Publisher a non-exclusive license to:

Publish the article in print and online formats.

Make the article freely and permanently available on the journal website.

Archive and preserve the article through digital preservation systems.

Index and deposit article metadata in academic, bibliographic, and indexing databases.

Promote and disseminate the article through scholarly, digital, and academic platforms.

These rights are non-exclusive and do not limit the author’s copyright ownership or reuse rights under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Use of Third-Party Content

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any third-party material included in their manuscripts, including images, figures, charts, tables, photographs, datasets, and other copyrighted material.

Where third-party material is included, authors must ensure that its use is properly acknowledged and that permission has been obtained for publication and reuse under the journal’s open-access license, where required. If any third-party material is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license, this must be clearly indicated in the article.

Policy Updates

JEBA may update this policy in response to changes in copyright legislation, open-access standards, indexing requirements, or scholarly publishing best practices. Any amendments will be clearly published on the journal website.

Policy changes will apply prospectively and will not alter the copyright or licensing terms of articles already published.
