The theoretical framework was based on previous studies of talent management (TM), organizational learning (OL), environmental dynamism (ED) and sustainable business performance (SBP). Partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the study’s hypotheses.

Findings – Talent management mindset (TMM), but not talent management strategy (TMS), has a significant relationship with OL and SBP. OL has a significant direct relationship with SBP, and also mediates the relationship between TMM and SBP but not between TMS and SBP. Research limitations/implications – This work is one of a limited number of studies to empirically address TM, OL, ED and SBP in this context. The study is limited to Pakistani hospitals. It provides theoretical contributions by broadening the knowledge of OL, TM and the multifocal perspective of hospitals’ SBP, a relevant but underexplored issue, offering several avenues for future research.

Practical implications – The findings have beneficial practical implications for both policy makers and managers. First, focusing on talented people will directly improve sustainable performance in the Pakistani health sector. The findings also have important theoretical implications both for Pakistan and countries in similar situations. The study will serve as a reference point for such countries in trying to understand factors influencing SBP.

Originality/value – This is the first study to examine the mediating effect of OL on the relationship between talent management and hospitals’ sustainable business performance in Pakistan, or worldwide.
Muhammad Abbas Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Personnel Management 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 1 2 Examining the influence of Workplace Ostracism and Incivility on Entrepreneurial Intentions: Probing the mediating role of Knowledge Hiding. https://journals.smarcons.com/index.php/jpm/article/view/209
Upon the premises of social exchange theory (SET) and theory of planned behaviour (TPB), this study aimed at hypothesizing and examining a mediation model that investigated the underlying mechanism through which Workplace Ostracism (WO) and workplace incivility (WI) affects on individuals' Entrepreneurial Intensions (EI). The hypothesized relationships were studied using responses from 275 employees from the FMCG sector of Pakistan through a probability sampling technique. For data analysis Statistical Package for Social Sciences SPSS and PLS-SEM were employed. The study revealed that Workplace Ostracism and incivility has a siginificant relationship with individuals' Entrepreneurial Intensions (EI) through the mediating role of knowledge hiding. The conclusion of the study includes a discussion of the findings, as well as their limitations and potential future paths for research.
Ayesha Mobeen Muhammad Adeel Abid Muhammad Mohsin Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Personnel Management 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 1 2 A comparative study of HR practices in Public & Private Universities in Pakistan. Using the convenience sample approach, 148 responses were supplied by hotel management personnel in tourist locations. The research model analysis process makes use of SMART PLS Ver 3.0 software and partial least squares (PLS). The research sample is the tourism industry situated in popular tourist locations in Pakistan. The respondents of the survey are system developers that oversee development work for a project or as a part of an ongoing project. Although employee training has no direct effect on performance, employee engagement has a significant effect on it.
